Food for Thought: September 1

September feels like a good time to check in with ourselves.

We spend so much of our lives responding to what’s happening around us… taking care of responsibilities, making decisions, being there for people, and simply getting through everything a day can hold. Sometimes we don’t realize how long it’s been since we’ve asked ourselves a simple question: How am I, really?

This month’s theme, Self-Reflection & Inner Growth, is about making room for that honesty. Not judging ourselves or picking apart everything we could be doing better, but noticing what’s actually going on within us. What feels good? What feels off? What have we been avoiding? What do we want more of? What are we finally ready to admit to ourselves?

Reflection isn’t about having all the answers. Sometimes it’s simply noticing something we hadn’t noticed before. And sometimes one honest realization can tell us more than months of trying to push through without checking in.

As we move through September together, let’s give ourselves permission to look inward with curiosity instead of criticism. We don’t have to fix everything we find. We can simply begin by being honest about what’s there.

Maybe you really are fine.
Maybe you’re tired, frustrated, hopeful, overwhelmed, content, or feeling several things at once.
You don’t have to turn every emotion into something that needs fixing.
Just be honest enough with yourself to notice what’s there. 💜
