Sacrifice is often seen as something grand or dramatic, but most of the sacrifices I’ve made have been quiet. They happened in moments no one saw—choices I made for my family, for love, for peace.
Over the last seven years, I’ve chosen to be present for my daughter in every way I could. I’ve passed on late nights out, spontaneous weekends, and a social life I once enjoyed. It wasn’t because I had to, but because I wanted to. Our morning routines, school drop-offs, and simple bedtime chats have become more valuable than anything I left behind.
I still love my passions—writing, photography, tech—but the truth is, I just don’t always have the time or mental space for them. I haven’t let them go. They’re still with me. They’re part of who I am. I just press pause sometimes to make space for what matters most in the now.
I’ve also chosen healing. Reconnecting with family I once felt distant from. Forgiving, letting go, and choosing to create something better, something warmer—not just for me, but so my daughter could grow up knowing love and connection, not resentment.
I’ve made practical sacrifices too. Becoming the family hairdresser during the pandemic and still doing it now. Being intentional with spending, researching every big decision, making sure that what we choose adds value—not just in the short term, but for the long run.
And still, I’ve had moments of doubt. Wondering if I’m doing enough. If I’m getting it right. But I’m learning that love doesn’t always look like grand gestures. Sometimes it looks like being there. Listening. Sitting quietly at the end of the day while your child shares the highs and lows of theirs. That’s where the meaning is.
To anyone else navigating sacrifice quietly—your efforts count. Even when they go unseen, even when they feel small. They matter.

Moms make everyday sacrifices and all their life. it is Gods design that he put in moms. without them we are nothing in this world
