Daily Prompt: Someone Else’s Island

We’ve all been asked what five objects we’d take with us to a desert island. Now it’s your best friend’s (or close relative’s) turn to be stranded: what five objects would you send him/her off with?

If one of my best friend’s or close relative’s is stranded on some island I would send him or her the following object:

Waterproof Matches – so he/she can produce fire to cook food or keep himself/herself warm.

Machete – so he/she can build shelter, use it as a protection against predators, use it to prepare food, etc.

Industrial Rope – for building a shelter or raft, carrying things, climbing and rapelling or for protection against predators.

All Weather Boots – for the obvious reasons. I know it’s an island and barefoot is the norm but you still need to protect your feet. Just think about what happened to Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks) in Castaway ;-).

A Book – I will send him/her the book called God Always Has a Plan B to help keep their faith alive. 🙂

But I think what would really make him/her happy is if I also send them the object of their affection 😉 :D.

  1. God forgive me. i want a head light or a plastic bottle or a tent rather than your teaching. God forgive me. i might make a fire with your book, if i cannot make a fire with a wood.
