I’ve been a fan of Apolo for over a decade now and I missed my chance of meeting him 7 years ago because I backed out last-minute when we were supposed to go see him in LA at some event. So when he released his book and announced that he’s doing a book tour I was hoping that he would come to the West Coast as well. Well, my prayers were answered because shortly after his East Coast book tour wrapped, he announced that he’ll be doing a book tour on the West Coast. I was so excited upon hearing this news and I couldn’t wait to meet him! 🙂 These photos were taken at Barnes & Noble Escondido at his book signing the weekend of Thanksgiving in 2010 🙂 I was so stoked to see him and was able to ask him a question! 😀 He’s such a humble person and quite handsome! Hahahaha! Finally meeting the most decorated American Winter Olympic athlete of all is definitely a dream come true! 😀

🙂 It’s a really great book and very inspirational as he talked about not only about his triumphs but how he dealt with the challenges he had to face and used it as a motivation. I also love how he talks about the relationship he has with his father and how much his father influenced his success personally and professionally. You can sense how much love, respect and gratitude he has for his father. The book is also very candid which made it feel like I personally knew him while reading it. You should check it! I’m sure you’ll like it! 😉
