I teach a bit on Boundaries, and comparison is a topic we confront when putting ego in it’s place. Especially when the authentic-self or self-empowerment is our goal.
* Comparison ~ every time we compare ourselves to another person, we are looking at our lesser side. Even when we compare ourselves to our own self, we are still looking at the lesser side of our self. Another place where we are looking at our lesser side: “I can’t believe a girl like that would be with a guy like me”, or “I don’t know what she sees in me”. We want to see confidence, integrity, and not this lesser side.

Very well said. Comparison really does pull us into our lesser side, and it quietly feeds the ego instead of dissolving it. I love how you framed confidence and integrity as the return point. Thank you for sharing this.

When confronted by any challenging topic in life, “change” happens when we discover the many positive outcomes that we can have, when we decide to shift our awareness in that conflict.
Example: The sun is the conflict, and the many trillions of light rays that are the many choices of “responses” we get to choose from. And out of ALL of them, we chose “that One dark one”!
So I for one, will think carefully before responding. Simply because I choose love over fear.
Blessings…

I appreciate this perspective. Awareness really does shape how we move through conflict, and choosing love over fear is something worth returning to again and again. Blessings to you as well.
