If I could live a day in someone else’s shoes… it would be as a bestselling author. Not just for a day—but for a lifetime.
I’m so curious about their daily lives. Where do they draw their inspiration from? What fuels their creativity? I wonder about their thought process—from that first spark of an idea, to nurturing it, to finally bringing it to life on the page.
What do they feel during the writing process? What happens after the book is published? Do they feel fulfilled when it becomes a bestseller? And when it doesn’t perform as well as they’d hoped, do they see it as failure—or do they focus on the deeper fulfillment of simply finishing another book?
I often wonder how much public perception affects them. Do they write with a purpose? What intention sits at the heart of their story?
I know everyone’s creative journey is different. Different folks, different strokes. But to experience just one day in the life of a full-fledged, bestselling author would answer so many of the questions in my heart.
One day, I hope I won’t have to wonder. One day, I hope to live it.
