Remembering 9/11

One of the most sobering and humbling experiences I’ve had in my life, visiting the 9/11 Memorial was something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time but that would probably be my first and last visit. It’s painful to see the remnants of what was once an icon and to know that many innocent people lost their lives there because of senseless acts of selfishness left me resentful and with a heavy heart. I can’t imagine what their families went through. The children who lost their parents, those who lost their children, husband, wife, brother, sister, friend and colleague…..they are forever scarred because of that fateful day in September. I hope and pray that despite the pain and suffering brought by such tragic event in their lives that they somehow found peace and live their lives remarkably. #NeverForget
