What could you do more of?
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the things I want to do more of—those little moments that make life feel lighter, more fun, and just… full.
Like the other night with my daughter. My husband had run into the grocery store for a quick errand, and while we waited in the car, we just went for it. We turned on Katseye’s latest hit Gabriela, sang at the top of our lungs, danced in our seats, and laughed until our cheeks hurt. It was silly, spontaneous, and absolutely perfect. I realized I want more of that—more time doing what she loves, especially art stuff, more moments of pure, playful joy with her.
And then there’s my husband. We rarely go out on dates because we love family activities so much—it just doesn’t feel complete without our daughter. But we’ve been talking about starting a new tradition: brunch dates every other Friday while she’s in school. Just the two of us, talking about our travel adventures, our little everyday stories, dreaming, laughing. It feels like a small way to reconnect and nurture our marriage without losing the family vibe we love so much.
And finally… me. My writing, my creative work, the things I do just for me. I want more dedicated, uninterrupted time for that. Those blocks of focus don’t just feed my creativity—they recharge me and remind me who I am outside of being a mom or a wife.
So really, what I’m aiming for is simple: more laughter and art with my daughter, more connection and little adventures with my husband, and more quiet, intentional time for my creativity. Life is made of these small but beautiful moments, and I want to make space for them, fully and unapologetically.
Because at the end of the day, joy, connection, and creation are what make life feel complete—and I want more of all three.
