Do you practice religion?
Do I practice religion?
Yes, I do—deeply and intentionally. It may not always look like it once did—I don’t make it to church every Sunday like I used to—but my faith is still very much alive. I read Bible verses daily, I pray, I reflect, and I trust. I carry the Word of God in my heart and lean on His promises in every season of life. And sometimes, the most powerful ways we live out our faith show up not in grand gestures, but in the quiet ways we wait, trust, and believe.
Not too long ago, my husband and I found ourselves in a situation that reminded us—yet again—how perfect God’s timing truly is.
We weren’t just looking for a car—we were praying for a blessing. Something safe, reliable, and within our means, yes—but more than that, something that felt right. We wanted peace about the decision. We wanted to feel that quiet confirmation you get when you know God’s hand is in it.
After weeks of searching, test-driving, and even walking away from options that weren’t quite right, our prayers were answered. She came to us at just the right time, with the features we hoped for, a price that worked, and kindness from the dealership staff that felt like a gift in itself.
We named her Sapphire—not just because of her beautiful color, but because of what the name represents: wisdom, protection, and spiritual insight. For us, it was a symbol of God’s faithfulness, a reminder that when you wait on Him, He provides—abundantly and at the perfect time.
Even the license plate number she came with felt like a sign—it held meaning for our family, and we hadn’t requested anything custom. It was simply another gentle confirmation that this was the right one.
And hanging from Sapphire’s rearview mirror is a special rosary—one we received during the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy. That year, my husband and I traveled to visit many of the designated basilicas across the United States and Canada. It was a sacred journey we took together, one filled with prayer, reflection, and a deeper connection to our faith. The rosary is a tangible reminder of that journey—and of God’s abundant mercy.
We haven’t had Sapphire officially blessed yet, but we plan to—just like my grandparents always did with new homes, cars, and meaningful milestones. That tradition of faith runs deep in me, and I want to pass it on to our daughter too.
Sapphire isn’t just a car. She’s a testimony. A reminder that even in the waiting, even when doors close or things feel uncertain, God is still moving. And when we place our trust in Him, He shows up—not always how or when we expect, but always with purpose, grace, and perfect timing.
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
— Proverbs 19:21
God is good. Always on time. Always faithful.
