Daily Prompt: Chariot

What’s your all-time favorite album?

I’m the type who listens to all the songs on any album that piques my interest and I listen to it more than once. This is a tough question. I have more than one favorite, but if I had to choose, Gavin DeGraw’s debut studio album, ‘Chariot,’ is my top pick. Although, Taehyung’s (V of BTS) album, ‘Layover,’ will most likely become my new favorite soon. 😁💜 I just love listening to all the songs in his album; his voice is so soothing. My daughter knows all the songs too and she’s so adorable when she’s singing. She loves singing and often makes up her own songs. She’s so passionate about it. I even told her she might end up on Broadway someday, but she said, ‘But I’m shy.’ 😊

Anyway, as I was saying Chariot by Gavin DeGraw is currently my all-time favorite album and my most favorite song from that album is I Don’t Want to Be. I find the song very inspiring and empowering as it encourages you to be your authentic self, stay true to your roots, and realize that you are who you are because of where you came from.

The song emphasizes how important it is to have your own identity, regardless of where you are and who you’re with. It’s so important to be true to yourself and not be constantly swayed by what is trending. While there’s nothing wrong with keeping up with trends, it’s important not to lose your true self in the process. We all have something unique within us that we should love and be proud of. Why would you want to be a version of someone else when you are blessed with unique gifts and talents that are truly your own? 💖
