What Excites Me Most About the Future as a Mother

What are you most excited about for the future?

If you asked me out of nowhere, I’d probably laugh and say:
A BTS concert. My first ever.
Just the thought of the lights, the crowd, the music I’ve had on repeat for years—it’s something I can’t wait to experience in real life. One day, I’ll be in that sea of ARMY, lightstick in hand, heart full. 💜

But if I take a moment to truly reflect, what I’m most excited about is something far more personal and deeply rooted in love.

It’s watching my daughter grow into herself.

There’s an entire world waiting for her—new memories, lasting friendships, joyful moments—and, naturally, some challenges too. I know life won’t always be smooth, but that’s part of the beauty of it. I’m curious to see how she’ll face the ups and downs, what she’ll believe in, and how her choices will shape the person she’s becoming.

Will she know when to ask for help?
Will she know how to show herself kindness when things get tough?
Will she hold on to what she believes in, even when it’s the harder path?

These questions stay with me—not out of fear, but because I believe in her. And because being her mom means I get a front-row seat to the unfolding of her life.

I can’t protect her from everything, and I don’t want to. What I do want is to be her steady presence as she learns, stumbles, grows, and becomes. I know she’ll make mistakes—we all do—but I also know she’ll rise. That’s what I’m excited for.

So yes, I dream of concerts and joyful moments just for me. But more than anything… I’m excited to see who she becomes.

Because her journey?
It’s part of mine too.
