What’s your definition of romantic?
Romance isn’t always about big, grand gestures or dramatic moments. For me, it’s in the quiet, everyday things — a thoughtful glance, a steady hand, or words that reassure even without being said.
I feel so lucky to have a partner who shows love in such real and meaningful ways. Not just with flowers or gifts, but through his presence, his support, and his constant care. He comforts my fears, encourages my dreams, and reminds me who I am when I start to forget.
Living with OCD and anxiety can be really tough, but his steady love and endless patience make those challenges easier to face. When my fears get overwhelming and my mind won’t stop racing, he’s there — calm, understanding, and unwavering. His support doesn’t just comfort me; it gives me the strength to keep going.
Some people might call his love old-fashioned, but to me, it’s timeless. He believes in me even when I don’t believe in myself. He’s my best friend, my safe place, my rock through every storm, and my compass when I lose my way.
I also want to give credit to my mother-in-law, who raised such a kind, loving, and caring man — the man I’m so proud to call my husband and the father of our child.
Every day, our daughter sees what real love looks like — through his actions, his gentleness, and his quiet strength. I hope she carries that image with her and, when the time comes, chooses a love just as steady, safe, and true.
Because the way he loves me hasn’t just healed me — it’s taught me to truly love myself.
