There’s something incredibly grounding about knowing that no matter where life takes you—how far you move, how much your world changes, how many years pass—there are people who remain constant. Friends who don’t just remember you, but who walk alongside you through every season of life. I’m blessed to call a few of them my best friends—my chosen sisters.
Each one came into my life during a different chapter:
Two from the carefree days of childhood, one from the whirlwind of high school, and one as I navigated adulthood in the working world. Different times, different stories—but the connection has been the same: real, strong, and unshakable.
These women have been with me through some of the most trying, emotional, and vulnerable times in my life. Their support wasn’t loud or performative—it was real. They showed up with quiet strength, unwavering love, and a kind of presence that made me feel I was never alone. The time and effort they gave me when I needed it most are things I will never, ever forget.
Life has changed for all of us—marriage, motherhood, new homes, careers—but somehow our bond hasn’t just endured, it’s grown deeper. Even with miles between us and long stretches without seeing each other, the moment we reconnect, it’s like no time has passed at all. That kind of friendship is rare. It’s sacred. It’s something I hold with so much gratitude.
Friendship like this doesn’t just happen. It’s built through shared laughter, late-night talks, mutual respect, and showing up—not just for the fun times, but in the face of heartbreak, transition, and healing. These women are more than friends. They’re my sisters from another mother—anchors in my story, soul-deep companions, and walking reminders that love like this transcends time and distance.
So, what do I value most in a friend? It’s everything these incredible women have shown me over the years—authenticity, loyalty, kindness, understanding, respect, and emotional presence. They’ve reminded me that true friendship isn’t about how often you talk or see each other, but how deeply you’re connected. These are the qualities I hold closest to my heart, and I’m forever grateful to have found them in the people I call my soul sisters.
