It All Began With Writing

What is your career plan?

If you were to ask me what I do, you’d probably hear a mix of things—designer, photographer, content creator, former IT professional, website designer. But if I’m being real with you, there’s one thing that ties it all together: I’m a writer.

It’s been a part of me since I was a little girl, typing away on an old typewriter. I loved the sound of those keys clicking, like they were echoing the start of something bigger. Writing was always my safe place. The way I made sense of the world. The way I expressed what was inside.

As I got older, life pulled me in different directions. I got into IT, learned how to build websites, and solve tech problems. I loved the challenge—the way everything clicked into place when design and functionality came together. But through it all, my love for writing never left. It was always there, quietly inspiring everything else I did.

My career path hasn’t been straight, and honestly, I don’t think it’s supposed to be. I started out in IT, got into web design, and learned how to create with purpose. The skills I picked up along the way helped me find a way to combine my technical side with my creative side. I love it, but deep down, I know that writing is the heart of it all. It’s where my creativity begins and where everything flows from.

The more I worked on design, photography, and videos, the more I realized it’s all just a reflection of that initial spark—writing. Whether it’s a simple quote, a blog post, or even a whole book, writing is the thread that ties everything together.

Right now, I’m leaning into that truth. Writing isn’t just something I used to do or something I might do one day—it’s who I am. I’m combining my love for words with everything I’ve learned in design, photography, and tech to create something that feels me.

One of my biggest dreams? To write and publish a book. Something that’s drawn from my experiences—stories, reflections, and all the things I’ve learned along the way. The specifics of the book may come together over time, but the heart of it will always be the same: to share my voice and to inspire others.

I’m ready to own the fact that I’m a writer. It’s time to stop putting it off and just be that. Whether I’m writing a post, designing a new layout, or working on a new project, it’s the words that always come first.

If you’re out there, rediscovering something you’ve always loved or figuring out how to make your own path, I hope this gives you a little push to lean into it. You don’t have to wait for the perfect moment or the “right” credentials. You already have what you need—just start.
