What I Wish I Could Do More Every Day

Daily writing prompt
What do you wish you could do more every day?

Life moves so fast that sometimes it feels like there’s never enough time to do the things that truly bring joy. Between responsibilities, routines, and the endless to-do lists, it’s easy to put off the things that make life feel full. But if I could slow things down and make more space in my day, there are a few things I’d love to do more of—things that bring happiness, creativity, and meaningful connection.

I wish I could travel and explore more with my family. There’s something about discovering new places together that makes life feel more exciting. It doesn’t even have to be a big, faraway trip—sometimes, just finding a new spot in town, going on a little road trip, or trying an activity we’ve never done before is enough to create a memory we’ll always hold onto. Exploring together isn’t just about seeing new things; it’s about sharing those moments, learning, laughing, and experiencing life in a way that only adventures can bring.

Another thing I’d love to do more of is having dedicated time to be creative. Photography, writing, video editing—these are things I love, things that make me feel like I’m capturing pieces of life in a way that lasts. But in the middle of everyday responsibilities, it’s so easy to push those passions aside. I want to be more intentional about carving out time to create, to just sit with my thoughts and ideas and turn them into something meaningful. Whether it’s snapping photos, piecing together a video, or putting thoughts into words, I know how much joy it brings me, and I wish I could make it a bigger part of my day.

And then, of course, there’s spending fun, quality time with my daughter. I cherish every moment with her—the way she smiles at the smallest things, her excitement over little adventures, and the way she makes everything feel more magical just by being herself. I wish I could do even more fun activities with her, try new things, and just soak in every second. She’s growing so fast, and I want to be present for every moment, making sure we’re building memories that will stay with us forever.

Trying new food is another thing I’d love to do more often. There’s something special about experiencing a new culture through its flavors, learning the stories behind a dish, and stepping out of my comfort zone with something unfamiliar. Whether it’s finding a new restaurant or trying a new recipe at home, food has a way of bringing people together and making life feel a little more adventurous.

At the end of the day, I know life is all about balance. Responsibilities won’t disappear, and there will always be things that demand my time. But finding little ways to incorporate these moments—whether it’s a short adventure, a quiet creative session, or an unexpected laugh with my daughter—makes all the difference. If I can be more intentional about making space for the things that bring joy, then every day can feel a little more fulfilling.

How about you? Are there things you wish you could do more every day?
