Tasty Thursdays: A Culinary Gem in the Heart of Rome

You know that feeling when you’re exploring a new city, and you unexpectedly stumble upon something amazing? Well, that’s exactly what happened to us in Rome when we found this charming little pasta place.

We were walking around the historic streets of Rome, and a mouthwatering aroma led us to this unassuming pasta joint. We were so hungry, and my feet were killing me. Walking those cobblestone streets made it even more challenging for my aching feet but I pulled through. 😊 I wanted to watch them making the pasta, but I needed to eat ASAP as my sugar level had dropped at this point and I didn’t have any candy with me for a quick pick-me-up. So, I settled at a table just a few steps away, with a perfect view.

I loved the cobblestone streets of Roma despite my aching feet. 😊

As I was sitting at my table waiting for my fresh pasta, I realized that what made this place special was its simplicity. No fancy decorations, no fancy menus. Just authentic, simple, and inviting. It felt like a real local spot, waiting for someone like me to discover it.

Now, let’s get to the best part – the pasta. I ordered the Ragu alla Bolognese, and my husband went for the Burro e Parmigiano. The food smelled so good, fresh,  and oh so delizioso! 🍝❤️👩‍🍳😙🤌 Yes, it deserves all that emoji! 🤣 The portions were huge, and the bill was a pleasant surprise – just 5 euros! You won’t believe that the day before, we paid double that for much less in a busy tourist spot.

This experience was a reminder of why I love exploring off the beaten path. The less crowded areas often hold the most delicious secrets, just like this little charming pasta place in Rome.

Love this place and would definitely go back! It’s one of my favorite finds. ❤️

Finding this hidden pasta gem was one of the highlights of our trip. The delightful smells, the budget-friendly prices, and the cozy atmosphere made it unforgettable. So, the next time you’re in Rome, don’t be afraid to venture away from the touristy areas. You might find your very own culinary treasure. I think food discoveries are the best souvenirs. Don’t you agree? 😉

Also in my case,  add the blisters on my feet from all the walking wearing the wrong shoes. Our trip to Rome literally left a mark on me. 🤣

So glad we wandered on this street. ❤️
