Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
Believe it or not, I barely touched my laptop in the last four years. The only time I go on it is when I need to back up files from my phone or grab something on my hard drive or external hard drive. When I was working as a part-time photographer, I used it often, but since my daughter was born, I rarely used my laptop. All my photographs and videos are edited on my phone. And now that I’m using the cloud drive even more, my time spent with a laptop has become scarce. π I seriously do everything on the phone now. It has been that way for the last four years. I love the convenience of relying on just one device to get everything done.
I remember almost two decades ago when I used to say that I wished we could do everything on our phones so we could do things on the go. I was so excited when I upgraded my Motorola QWERTY (can’t remember the exact model) to a Samsung Galaxy S3 back in 2013. I couldn’t wait to use it and the first thing that I did was blog on the go, aside from taking photos of course. π That phone was one of the best phones I’ve ever had. I loved the swipe screenshot feature and the voice-activated photo capture. Just say “smile” or “cheese” and the phone will take a picture of you. Super handy features in my opinion. π The photos were always on point and the videos were as well. The quality of the videos I’ve taken with that phone is so good that you won’t even guess that it was taken with a phone that is now 10 years old. The quality did not deteriorate over time unlike with other phones I’ve had. Oh, and I almost forgot the copy-and-paste feature. It’s a game-changer! Samsung knows quality for sure. π
My goodness, now I’m talking about old phones. π€£ So, to conclude this post. I pretty much have been living almost laptop-free for the last couple of years and it’s not a big deal for me since I can do everything on my phone. But I know that as I progress with my creative pursuits, I’ll slowly get back to using my laptop more. π
