Yesterday, my daughter asked me to draw whiskers on her face. She said she wanted to pretend she’s a cat. π€£ So, I said yes, and when I was about to start drawing the whiskers on her cheeks, she began laughing. I tried again, and the same thing happened. And again, and she still kept laughing. Then we laughed out loud together. Then we tried again and stopped because we started laughing again. π€£ I said, ‘Why do you keep laughing?’ She said, ‘I don’t know, Mom. I can’t help it!’, then laughed again. I told her to close her eyes, and she still laughed. So I said, ‘Okay, if you laugh again, I’m going to put you on a time-out.’ I only said that, though, just so I could finish painting her face. I wasn’t going to put her on a time-out. π She still laughed in between but was more controlled, and I was finally able to finish painting her face. When it was done, she looked in the mirror and loved it! Mission accomplished! One happy Mama and one happy baby! β€οΈπ₯°
I love simple moments like that with my daughter. I treasure our time when we could just laugh and be silly together. Itβs so special to me and fills my heart with immense joy. So grateful π that I have her in my life. Sheβs my ray of sunshine on a cloudy day and my source of strength that helps me cope when I feel grey. ππ©βπ§π₯°
