Did you guys see the rare super blue moon last night? I found out about it from an influencer that I’m following and I didn’t think twice of picking up my camera to go outside to take some photos and videos. I think it’s been about 8-9 years since I last photographed a supermoon, on the balcony of our 12th-floor apartment back in sunny San Diego. It was the perfect spot to take images of the moon, sunset, clouds, and my favorite orange-blue skies. Not my favorite though every time there’s an earthquake. ๐ฌ By the way, did you know that only 3% of full moons are blue? No wonder it’s rare! I’m so glad I got to photograph it last night as the next one won’t be here until 2037. I can’t wait to share the images and videos I took. ๐
If you’re wondering why it’s called a “blue moon” below is a brief explanation and a website link for more information.
“The moon won’t appear particularly blue at this time, however. The term “Blue Moon” has nothing to do with color, instead referring to either two moons occurring in the same calendar month (as in this case), or the third full moon in a season that has four full moons.” (https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-last-super-blue-moon-until-2037-rises-tonight-heres-how-to-see-it/)
Also, if you’re into astrology and spiritual stuff, according to hola.com,
“This is the perfect time to manifest your goals and dreams for this year and the next one, as the energy surrounding us will be magnified and the opportunity to make an important decision at a personal and professional level will arise.”
Everything sounds good to me! ๐
Manifest it is! ๐โค๏ธ
