How would I design the city of the future?

The first thing I would do is to get the community’s input. I think it’s so important to take into consideration the people’s wants and needs so you can accommodate them the best way that you can. Realistically, you may not be able to accommodate all the wants and needs of everyone in the community BUT you can meet halfway. A common ground can be established where the needs and wants are met that will satisfy everyone. Then you can move on to the next phase. It’s also important to communicate the progress of the plan to the community so everyone knows the updates. Everyone’s in the loop. So in case there are issues everyone can be aware of it and can even help in finding a solution.

This is the city of the future that I envision, a city built by the people for the people. Not some government agency that just takes people’s hard-earned money and doesn’t address the community’s wants and needs. How beautiful and peaceful a community would be if everyone was united. I know nothing is perfect but nothing is impossible either. Anything can be achieved if everyone has the same goal and more importantly, being kind to one another and respectful of each other’s differences would greatly help in bringing such vision into fruition.
